IAED Africa operates at three levels — Continental, Regional and National — under its Constitution and By-Laws.
Continental Headquarters — Nigeria
Organs of the Association
- General Assembly — the members in general meeting.
- Board of Directors — policy, budget and oversight.
- Executive Committee — day-to-day leadership.
- Secretariat — headed by the Executive Director, coordinating programs, reporting and partnerships.
How the structure works together
Nigeria provides continental leadership, coordination and strategic direction. Each region has a Regional Coordinator or Director and National Chapters. Regions operate semi-autonomously but follow the IAED Africa Framework, and continental programs are deployed regionally. The long-term objective is five continental headquarters centred on IAED International directives as IAED becomes more established.
Standards for coordinators
All Regional Coordinators, National Presidents and coordinating officers act under published terms covering integrity and code of conduct, reporting, confidentiality and data protection, conflicts of interest, use of the IAED Africa name and brand, and intellectual property.
